When Shelley Amalberti expressed interest in a more "feminine, glamorous" image for the rear window of her Nissan Murano, we couldn't wait to help her. Shelley's salon, Tan Like a Celebrity", located at 1003 Third Street North in Jacksonville Beach gave us a perfect opportunity to show how creative a back window perf can be.

Shelley already had basic information on her back window and, since she leaves her vehicle parked right in front of her studio whenever she's with a client, she said it was generating some calls for her services.

But one visit and meeting with Shelley at her ultra glamorous facility and hearing what she wanted to really accomplish and we knew we could transform her window into something more complimentary of her personal style and ambiance of her facility. Shelley said she really wanted her clients, no matter what their physical attributes or age might be, to truly feel like "red carpet celebrities" when they visited her and leave very happy with the outcome. But to help convey that "glamour" more strongly, we went to work with some images Shelley suggested and below is the final result:

Shelley said she immediately received compliments from her clients who would see her car as they walked into her studio. We agree that her new design is much more in keeping with her "red carpet" studio's image. Not to mention, but the busy wife, mother and business owner that Shelley is, this window is going to be seen all over Jacksonville! Shelley uses an organic based product that is safe and natural and produces beautiful, never "over done" results.

As for First Coast Signs' products, we use 50/50 window perf with a compatible optically clear laminate for vehicles. Safety regulations require the larger holes for visibility; i.e. 50/50 means there is as much printable area for your graphics as there is for the holes to allow you to see out. We edge seal the graphic all around to prevent premature "lifting".

For studio or retail window perf applications, we use a 70/30 window perf that allows for a larger printed area and smaller holes--since safety and visibility is not an issue. This creates a slightly sharper graphic image. We did the windows for Rose of Sharon Florist on University Boulevard several years ago and owner Lynette Self mentioned that an unexpected added benefit was that the window perf reduced the temperature and window glare in her work room in addition to showing off several of her beautiful arrangements.

Full vehicle wraps are great advertising mediums and we've done several using the best materials.
